Play Carriage Park

Press Play, or tap any carriage, to start a standard set from lot 1; that first tap also drives the carriage. To play Extra Hint, Calm Lot or Par Bonus, open Change rules and pick one; it starts at once. Today’s unfinished set comes back as you left it: tap a carriage or press Continue to pick it up with its saved rule.

Tap little carriages to drive them out of a packed parking lot the way their arrows point. Clear five daily lots from 5×5 to 7×7 in as few moves over par as you can.

How to play

  1. Every carriage shows an arrow: up, down, left or right. It lies along that direction and only ever drives that way.
  2. Tap a carriage. If nothing stands between it and the edge of the lot, it drives out. If another carriage is in the way, it rolls forward until it touches that carriage and stops there. If it is already nose to nose, it honks and stays put.
  3. Every tap is a move, including a honk. Each lot shows its par: the fewest moves the game’s solver needs to clear it. Every carriage must leave once, so par is the number of carriages plus the forward rolls the lot needs.
  4. From the second lot on, every Classic lot has at least one knot that only a forward roll can open. A roll can also trap the lot, so not every order of taps works.
  5. A Classic set is five lots that grow from 5×5 to 7×7, with two- and three-cell carriages. Every lot is checked by the solver before you see it, so every lot can be cleared from the start.
  6. The five lots come from the UTC date and the selected rule when you start: everyone using the same rule gets the same set that day, and Play again starts it again from the first lot with the same rule. Time is recorded but there is no clock to beat. After the set, Keep practicing serves endless random lots that never change your best.

Controls

Mouse or touch
Click or tap a carriage to drive it. Hint makes a carriage glow that starts a shortest way out; Undo takes back your last tap; Restart lot puts every carriage back.
Keyboard
Arrow keys move between carriages. Enter or Space drives the focused carriage. H shows a hint, U undoes and P pauses and resumes.

Score and progress

Stars count your moves over par across the whole set: 2 or fewer earn three stars, 6 or fewer earn two, and finishing always earns one. Each lot has one hint and three undos. Undo takes back a move and its count; Restart lot keeps the moves already made on that lot. Your fewest moves over par in a finished set are kept on this device.

What the rules change

Extra Hint gives two hints per lot, Calm Lot plays smaller lots and Par Bonus forgives a move over par on each lot. These choices are picked on your device. A challenge picked under Change rules starts at once and locks for that set; without a pick, the set uses the standard rules. A saved set keeps its existing rule when you continue it. The lots, moves, par and stars still follow the local game rules.

Extra Hint
Two hints on every lot instead of one.
Calm Lot
Every lot in the set is one row and one column smaller, with fewer carriages: 4×4 to 6×6 instead of 5×5 to 7×7.
Par Bonus
Each lot forgives one move over par before it counts against your stars.

The chosen rule locks when you start, Classic uses the standard rules, and your skill decides the result.

At the end, the result shows stars, moves over par and the time for all five lots. Play again starts a new set with the same rule, Keep practicing serves random lots, and Next game or More games suggests what to play next.

Questions before you play

How do rules change Carriage Park?

Challenge rules and Classic are free to play. Pick one of three rules under Change rules and it starts at once, locked for that set: Extra Hint gives two hints per lot instead of one, Calm Lot makes every lot one row and one column smaller, and Par Bonus forgives one move over par on each lot. The lots, moves and stars stay on your device, and the five lots are the same for everyone using the same rule each UTC day.

Do I need an account or download?

No. You can play for free in your browser with a mouse, touch or keyboard. Progress, your fewest moves over par and today's unfinished set stay on your current device.

How do you solve a car parking puzzle in Carriage Park?

Tap a carriage whose arrow has a clear road to the edge and it drives out of the lot. If another carriage is in the way, the tapped one rolls forward until it touches it and stops. Bigger lots hide a knot of carriages that block each other in a loop; one of them has to roll forward out of another's lane before the knot comes apart. A roll in the wrong place can block a lane for good, so look before you tap.

How do par, undo and stars work?

Every tap is a move, including a honk when a carriage is already nose to nose with another. Each lot's par is the fewest moves the game's solver needs to clear it. Stars count your moves over par across the set: 2 or fewer earn three stars, 6 or fewer earn two, and finishing always earns one. Each lot has one hint and three undos; Undo takes back your last tap and its move, and Restart lot puts every carriage back while the moves already made still count.
