How Mix Anything works
You start with four elements: Water, Fire, Earth and Air. Drag one thing onto another on the board, or tap two things one after the other, to mix them. Water and Fire make Steam, Steam and Air make Cloud, and every new result joins your shelf so you can mix it again.
The daily challenge
The card at the top of the lab names one thing to make today, with its par: the fewest mixes it takes from the four starting elements. Explore freely first: the count starts when you tap Hint or make your first step toward the target, and from then on every mix counts until you make it. Tap Hint for the next step. Make it within two mixes of par for three stars, then share your result. Make the daily target on consecutive days to build a streak. A new challenge arrives every day at midnight UTC.
Your discoveries
Everything you have made is listed under Discoveries, sorted by most recent or A to Z. Tap an item to put it on the board. Discoveries are saved in this browser, so you can come back later and carry on.
Who decides new combinations?
About thirty basic recipes are built into the game. When you try a pair that nobody has mixed before, a language model decides on the spot what it makes. That answer is saved and shared with every player, so the same pair always gives the same result. If you are the first person to make something, you get a First discovery badge.
Tips
- Mix a thing with itself: two Trees make a Forest.
- Go back to the four starting elements often; they combine with almost anything.
- If the lab is busy, mixes you already know still work, so explore your shelf and try new pairs a little later.
